Like most running events, volunteers make things happen. We’d love to have you as a volunteer in a Puzzlerun, and everything’s designed to keep things as simple as possible.
Volunteers need to be 18 and up as of the day of the event. Choose between a morning shift (typically 8:30am-1pm) or an afternoon shift (typically 12:30pm-5pm). Always happy to have you for the full day as well!
When you arrive, we’ll give you a 5 minute rundown of what to expect, answer any questions you have, etc.
Here’s what you might be doing:
- Help with checking people in (if you have a smartphone)
- Welcome and encourage participants to your puzzle station
- Reset the puzzle for the next participants, if needed
- Look after the puzzle’s materials in general
- If you’re on-shift to start the event, help with setting up a puzzle station
- If you’re on-shift to end the event, bring the puzzle materials back to the start / finish area
- If you see a participant in need of assistance, act with good judgement or call a member of staff.
You will not need to give any hints or help participants solve puzzles.
